SEVEN

I know it has been a while since my last post! This past year has been a whirlwind of exciting changes for our family. While the start of 2025 has had its challenges, it has also brought wonderful opportunities. I’m incredibly grateful for God’s abundant provision as we step forward in faith, embracing this new season!

The boys are SEVEN now and I can hardly believe it! Birthdays can be so hard. I had to mentally prepare for this past birthday months in advance. There is this crazy mix of feelings that surface as we approach their birthday every year. This overwhelming feeling of gratitude for these precious boys and the progress they have made. At the same time, intense grief that we aren’t further along. Joy and grief at the same time.. yes it’s possible.

Sometimes I wish time would just slow down so they could have time to catch up and not continue to fall further behind. I thought 7 would look so different. I thought we would be having game nights as a family, taking yearly vacations to the beach, and enjoying family dinners. We aren’t there YET, but I’m still praying and believing that they will be healed. And when they are, you better believe we are going to make up for lost time! God will get all the glory!

Where we are-

We continued the very restrictive diet until very recently. The boys are still on a diet, but we have loosened it somewhat. We are still watching what they eat; avoiding food dyes, dairy, and gluten.

The boys are doing great in school and really seem to enjoy it! I am so grateful and appreciative for their teachers and therapists.

They are doing therapeutic horseback riding once a week. (Which is so cute to watch) – Nothing regulates them like riding a horse!

We are working with a functional neurologist and have been doing brain exercises with them once a week. We have noticed some major improvements in their sensitivities! For example, haircuts have been a nightmare for years. They hate haircuts! But recently, Stafford and Jackson let their dad give them a haircut! Jackson cried, but before, he would have been kicking and screaming.

I know these boys are so smart! I cant wait until they can share with us all they know!

As always, thank you for your prayers and support! We are so appreciative!
