Not MY Story

You may or may not have noticed that I am back on Instagram and Facebook. I felt led by God to leave those platforms in 2020, but the reasons I thought He was asking me to leave were only part of the reason. Not long after putting down social media, we started noticing the boys regression. So while I thought I was leaving social media because of unhealthy comparisons and the distraction of it, God knew I could not handle living out that year with a highlight reel reminding me of how different our journey was. He knew I couldn’t handle seeing my friends kids typically develop and my kids regress and become disconnected. Just one of the many way God has looked out for me on this journey!

So maybe you are wondering, “Why now?” The hard season isn’t over! Because the Lord convicted me about keeping this story to myself. I heard the Lord say, “It’s not your story, it’s mine.” He wanted me to release my grasp and allow others to be a part of what He has done and continues to do.

Maybe your next thought is, “You are sharing the story, you started a blog!” Yes! God led me to create this blog for those who were praying for the boys. A way to keep them posted on their progress so they could see the impact of their prayers. But I had this blog on a leash; the only people who could access it were those I shared it with. I held it tightly because I felt like I had to protect my kids. Sharing their struggle isn’t easy. However, I try to walk in obedience; God is then responsible for the outcome.

If you feel led to share this blog, please do!!! It’s not my story and what God has done and continues to do is for HIS glory. Good things are coming!

Psalm 27:13-14 ~ I remain confident of this: I will SEE the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord. Be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

  2. Love this, Margaret. Just keep following the whisper of Jesus as you move ahead. We wanted to mark the journey on a blog as we wanted to never forget all the details of what God had done. But there were definitely also seasons of quiet!
